Dr. Kenzo Fujisue

Kenzo Fujisue has over 18 years of policy-making experience in Japan’s House of Councillors and 13 years at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. He has cultivated deep expertise in innovation, science and technology, ICT, energy, and environmental policies, with a career spanning policy formulation, implementation, and analysis. In addition to his extensive government experience, Kenzo holds multiple graduate degrees and has served in professorial roles, further strengthening his strategic insights and approach to policy development.
Kenzo has built a robust global academic network, collaborating with esteemed institutions such as the Oxford Internet Institute, the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, the Institute for Ethics in AI at the Technical University of Munich, the Cyber-Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. These affiliations highlight his commitment to advancing research and innovation, fostering strategic partnerships, and shaping policies with a global impact.
Kenzo obtained a professional boxing license in 1996 and continues to train alongside professional boxers. As a member of the Tokyo Institute of Technology’s Varsity Rowing Team (Boat Club), he earned several prestigious accolades, including a silver medal in the All Japan Freshman Championship (+4) in 1983, a bronze medal in the All Japan Lightweight Championship (+8) in 1984, and a silver medal in the All Japan Championship (+8) in 1985.
